Position Overview:

The Quality Manager will be responsible for leading ISO standards across our manufacturing operations. They will need to have a strong background in quality management, extensive knowledge of ISO standards, and a proven track record of driving quality initiatives in a manufacturing setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • ISO Systems: Manage the ISO system for Lexair including ISO 9001 (Quality Management System) for ISO standards, internal & external audits, documentation updates and any other relevant industry-specific standards.
  • Quality Management System (QMS) Development: Maintain a comprehensive Quality Management System (QMS) that meets the requirements of ISO standards and aligns with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Policy and Procedure Development: Develop and document quality policies, procedures, and work instructions, as needed, to ensure compliance with ISO standards and promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
  • Training and Education: Provide training and education to employees at all levels of the organization on ISO standards, quality management principles, and the importance of quality in manufacturing operations. May include management of external vendors for onsite training.
  • Internal Audits and Compliance: Conduct regular internal audits to assess compliance with ISO standards and identify opportunities for improvement. Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions as needed to address non-conformities and improve processes.
  • Supplier Quality Management: Establish and maintain processes for evaluating and monitoring supplier quality performance, including supplier audits, quality agreements, and supplier corrective action programs.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Monitor and analyze customer feedback and quality performance metrics to identify trends, address issues, and drive continuous improvement in customer satisfaction.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and standards applicable to our industry, including FDA regulations, if applicable.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive a culture of continuous improvement by leading initiatives to improve quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness throughout the organization.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Provide leadership and direction to the quality team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment focused on achieving quality objectives and targets.
  • Other: Other duties may be required as assigned by the Company.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, or a related field
  • Extensive experience in quality management roles, with a focus on implementing and managing ISO standards in a manufacturing environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of ISO 9001 and other relevant ISO standards (must have managed an ISO system), as well as quality management principles and methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean).
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving change management initiatives.

Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:

  • Work Environment:

  • Work is typically performed in a combination of office and manufacturing environments. The position may require periodic visits to the production floor, where noise, dust, and other industrial elements are present.

  • Adherence to all safety protocols is required while on the production floor.

  • Physical Demands:

  • Standing/Walking: Regular standing and walking are required, especially during inspections and production floor evaluations.

  • Manual Dexterity: The role requires frequent use of hands for handling tools, equipment, and documents.

  • Lifting: Ability to lift or move materials weighing up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally.

  • Visual Requirements: Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus for quality inspection tasks.

  • Safety:

  • Compliance with all company and industry safety regulations is mandatory.

  • Regular training on workplace safety standards and best practices will be provided.
