A Brief Overview

Central Monitoring of telemetry data involves continuous observation and analysis of vital signs and patient data to ensure optimal patient care. Central Monitor Telemetry Technician is responsible for accurately interpreting telemetry data, promptly identifying abnormalities and coordinating with health professionals to address patient needs.

What you will do

  • Monitor patient vital signs using telemetry equipment
  • Identify and report abnormalities in telemetry data to healthcare professionals
  • Coordinate with nursing staff to ensure appropriate patient care interventions
  • Maintain telemetry equipment and ensure its proper functioning
  • Document relevant patient data and telemetry observations
  • Participate in training sessions to remain updated with telemetry technology

Qualifications:

Qualifications

  • H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Successful completion of Basic Dysrhythmia Course Preferred
  • less than 1 year Entry-level experience in medical technology Preferred
  • 1-3 years Experience in telemetry or patient monitoring Preferred
  • less than 1 year Experience in a healthcare setting Preferred

Department Specific Requirements

Telemetry Technician will monitor and be responsible for a ratio of no more than 1:44 patients. Must have successfully completed the Basic Dysrhythmia Course within 12 weeks of hire.
