We're looking for a Hardware Program Manager to join our Hardware PMO team. The Hardware PMO works on NPI programs and Sustaining programs. This role may work on both. The Hardware PMO works globally. This role will be located in the US and may require in-office collaboration in San Diego and/or San Francisco and will also require travel to other Oura global offices and/or global suppliers.

What you will do:

  • Coordinate the work of hardware engineering teams: electrical, mechanical, firmware, system test, hardware compliance, packaging.
  • Drive third parties to deliver against Statements of Work, when applicable for the program
  • Coordinate NPI build activities. Ensure product maturity and launch readiness throughout Prototype, EVT, DVT, PVT builds and validation.
  • Coordinate Go to Market Readiness in partnership with Product, Marketing, Supply Chain and Business teams
  • Help teams identify team level milestones and deliverables (against Program level targets) identifying the critical path and dependencies to inform program-level milestones including launch targets. This may include coordination with other hardware programs in flight.
  • Identify and manage dependencies between workstreams and between internal teams and external vendors throughout development.
  • Interface with hardware engineering leadership both to provide program reporting and receive strategic guidance.
  • Collaborate effectively with other PMO colleagues and program leaders across the company.
  • Proactively address issues and obstacles that may impact program timelines. Unblock teams, escalating as necessary. Identify how to accelerate when needed.
  • Contribute to BOM creation and technical specifications and oversee engineering change management
  • Drive engineering risk analysis and mitigation planning.
  • Be an advocate for program excellence, keeping the team focused on what is necessary to deliver on time and in scope.
  • Foster a collaborative and productive working environment with open communication to all stakeholders
  • Lead improvement projects and contributes to refining the existing product development processes.
