Responsibilities:

Design and Develop GitHub Actions for CI/CD

  • Develop and maintain reusable, modular GitHub Actions workflows to automate build, test, and deployment processes across multiple repositories in GitHub Enterprise.
  • Enforce consistency and quality by adopting workflow standards and templates organization-wide.

Develop and Manage Azure DevOps Pipelines (Legacy and Hybrid)

  • Maintain and optimize existing CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps, particularly for services still dependent on RHEL 9 build servers using Docker containers for builds.
  • Design hybrid integration patterns between Azure DevOps and GitHub during the transition period.

Automate DevOps Processes Using Python

  • Develop Python-based automation tools and scripts to streamline DevOps processes, including pipeline orchestration, configuration drift detection, audit reporting, and API integrations with GitHub, Azure DevOps, and monitoring tools.

Containerization and Build Optimization Using Docker

  • Build and maintain Docker images for application deployment on RHEL 9-based build servers.
  • Optimize Dockerfiles and container configurations for performance, security, and reusability across CI/CD environments.

Deploy and Manage Applications on Kubernetes (OpenShift/EKS)

  • Deploy, configure, and monitor containerized workloads on Red Hat OpenShift or AWS EKS clusters, ensuring high availability and resilience of services.

Linux Proficiency for Troubleshooting and Automation

  • Use advanced Linux skills for debugging CI/CD and runtime issues on RHEL systems.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with software developers, security engineers, SREs, and infrastructure teams to align DevOps practices with modern delivery pipelines, governance requirements, and automation standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • 2+ years' experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
  • 1+ year's working with CI/CD pipelines, particularly using Azure DevOps or GitHub, focusing on creating and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (Actions). This includes automating build, release, and deployment processes to facilitate CI/CD in both cloud and on-prem infrastructure.
