Job Description
Darigold is seeking a dynamic and experienced Payroll Manager to join our team at our headquarters in Seattle, WA. This role is responsible for leading the Payroll team in delivering accurate and timely timekeeping, payroll processing and reporting for both U.S.-based and international employees. The Payroll Manager will drive operational excellence by streamlining payroll functions, championing continuous improvement initiatives and ensuring cost-effective practices across all Payroll operations.

What You Will Do:
- Develops, implements and maintains payroll procedures and controls to ensure a high level of accuracy, efficiency and compliance.
- Backs up Payroll team to process payroll and international payroll processing.
- Leads continuous improvement efforts to increase the accuracy and efficiency of the payroll function and company as a whole.
- Partners with Finance and other HR teams to support corporate and field functions.
- Serves as the subject matter expert (SME) of the payroll & timekeeping systems.
- Responsible for payroll tax requirements, filings and IRS-related requirements.
- Stay current with relevant payroll-related laws such as FLSA, federal and state payroll taxes and other mandatory compliance and reporting requirements.
- Ability to research and complete new state setup requirements.
- Manage pre- and post-tax earnings and deductions.
- Ensures the identification and resolution of pay and benefit issues, such as wage & hour compliance, multi-employer pension plans, multi-employer Health & Welfare plans and deferred compensation plans.
- Partners with HR, Legal and relevant stakeholders to ensure adherence to union contracts.
- Partners with Finance to support payroll accounting practices, including journal entry process and general ledger account reconciliations, in accordance with GAAP.
- Sets goals and determines priorities for the Payroll team that support the business and aligns with enterprise and HR objectives.
- Leads special projects as assigned, including but not limited to mergers & acquisitions, system implementations, policy improvements and rollouts.
What You Bring:
- 6+ years of experience with increasing responsibility in Payroll.
- 2+ years of experience leading and supervising team members directly.
- Experience with UKG Pro and UKG Workforce Dimensions.
- Strong understanding of Excel and payroll systems reporting tools.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience leading Payroll improvement projects.
- CCP certification preferred.
- Experience in industry, or related field a plus.

- Compensation range: $111,496 - $167,244 (individual wage based on previous experience, knowledge and skills)
