Harrington House seeks a Kitchen Manager/Cook (Part-Time) for their residential campus. Harrington House is a group home designed to provide a safe and supportive living environment for youth who are transitioning to a less restrictive setting. While providing a structured, home-like environment, youth can engage with the community through school attendance, sports, and other extracurricular activities. The program is located in the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston. The Part-Time Cook position has the following responsibilities:

  • Cooks and prepares meals as required.
  • Responsible for stocking and stock rotation.
  • Receives and stores all food in compliance with food safety standards.
  • Maintains a clean and organized kitchen.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2 - 3 years working in a large cooking/kitchen environment preferred.
  • ServSafe certification and Food Allergy Training required.
  • Skilled cook with ability to follow USDA recipes and prepare meals from a cycle menu.
  • Prior experience working in a residential/institutional kitchen preferred.
