ENL Administration

Exempt

Compensation range:

$100.00 - $150.00

Your rate of pay will be based on applicable experience

This is full time, exempt position

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Vice President, Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer is a registered nurse and is responsible for planning, guiding and directing the operational, quality, human resource, and financial management of inpatient nursing services throughout the hospital. They are a key member of the executive leadership team, reporting directly to the CEO, and are responsible for ensuring that delivery of high-quality and cost-effective health care is consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Enloe Health. The Vice President participates in the organization's strategic planning and contributes to the achievement of organizational goals and objectives.

EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:

Minimum:

Five years nursing management experience in an acute care setting

Bachelors degree in nursing, healthcare administration, business administration or related field

Desired:

Masters degree, preferably in Nursing, Health Care Administration or Business Administration

Membership in a professional organization and attendance at conferences regarding management

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:

Current licensure with the California Board of Registered Nursing

SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:

Must demonstrate leadership ability. Must have knowledge of regulatory requirements to include Joint Commission standards, Title 22 regulations, and Medicare Conditions of Participation. Must have knowledge of current clinical and management practices, legislative activity, and trends in the healthcare industry. Must have knowledge of and a demonstrated ability in strategic planning, financial management and reporting, quality improvement processes, and human resource management. Must have the ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally. Must have the ability to motivate, delegate, analyze information, problem solve, and make decisions. Behavior should be reflective of Enloe Health core values. Must have the ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
