About the Role
As the Product Manager - Data Governance, you'll will be a part of a transformative change in our organization. Your responsibilities include supporting the creation and maintenance of common data structures across our products, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, consistency across products and establishing and maintaining a product asset repository. The governance strategy will streamline our innovations, deliver accelerated speed to market and evolve the buying process for customers. Additionally, you'll foster collaboration among stakeholders to maintain linkages between products and data assets.
Position will be hybrid from Alpharetta, GA - 3x week
Responsibilities
Common Data Structure Creation and Maintenance:
Establish and enforce data standards to ensure a common structure across all products.
Monitor data quality, accuracy, and completeness.
Collaborate with data stewards and owners to maintain consistency.
Product Asset Repository:
Create and manage a centralized repository for product-related data assets.
Organize and categorize data assets for easy retrieval and usage.
Ensure proper version control and access controls for assets.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Work closely with cross-functional teams (IT, business units) to align data practices.
Maintain linkages between products and associated data assets.
Lead and facilitate communication on data governance guidelines.
Lead the data governance committees to ensure decision making around data consistently evolves to suit customer needs.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify areas for process improvement? enhancement and efficiency.
Drive initiatives to improve data management practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Information Management, Computer Science).
- Proven experience in data governance, integration, or similar roles.
- Motivate and able to hold teams accountable to rules, frameworks, or delivery.
- Experience in partnering with and influencing diverse teams in multiple locations.
- Experience with SQL, dashboarding and\or technical background.
- Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks.
- Knowledge preferred in API Testing tools such as Postman, Bruno or SoapUI.
- Knowledge preferred in API Design tools such as Swagger Editor, Apiary or Postman
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
