Job Description

As an Automotive and Truck Sales Associate at Peter Boulware Toyota, you will be the face of our dealership, guiding customers through the exciting process of purchasing accessories for their new or pre-owned vehicle. You will be responsible for understanding their needs and showcasing our extensive catalog of accessories. Your passion for vehicles and dedication to providing exceptional customer service will be crucial to your success and our dealership's reputation.

 

  • Responsibilities:
    • Customer Engagement and Relationship Building:
    • Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner, both in person and online.
    • Actively engage customers to customize their vehicle purchase.
    • Build rapport with customers to foster trust and long-term relationships.
    • Follow up with leads and existing customers to nurture sales opportunities.

 

  • Product Knowledge and Sales Expertise:
    • Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of our current accessory offerings.
    • Stay up-to-date on new models, industry trends, and competitor offerings.
    • Conduct informative and engaging vehicle walkarounds and demonstrations.
    • Explain financing options.

 

  • Sales Process and Closing:
    • Guide customers through the entire sales process, from initial inquiry to final delivery.
    • Negotiate pricing and terms with customers in a transparent and ethical manner.
    • Prepare and complete all necessary service repair orders.
    • Coordinate vehicle accessory installation, delivery and ensure customer satisfaction.

 

  • Team Collaboration and Dealership Support:
    • Work collaboratively with sales managers, finance department, and other team members.
    • Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
    • Maintain a clean and organized sales area.
    • Participate in sales meetings and training sessions.
    • Adhere to all dealership policies and procedures.

 

  • Qualifications:
    • Previous experience in automotive sales or a strong sales background in a customer-facing role is preferred.
    • Passion for cars and trucks and a genuine interest in the automotive industry.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and active listening skills.
    • Strong negotiation and closing abilities.
    • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and results-driven.
    • Ability to build rapport and establish trust with customers.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Proficiency in basic computer applications and CRM software is a plus.
    • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
    • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education is a plus.
