Job Description

At Kids OnThe Move (KOTM), we believe every child deserves a safe, engaging, and nurturing place to grow—and that starts with caring, dependable educators. For over 40 years, KOTM has partnered with families in Utah County to support child development through education, therapy, and caregiving programs that empower both kids and caregivers.  

We’re currently hiring Substitute Teachers to support our Early Head Start and Child Care teams. This role is ideal for individuals who love working with young children, enjoy variety in their day, and want to make a positive impact while gaining experience in early childhood education.

Whether you're looking for flexible hours or a way to build your experience in early childhood, we’re open to working with your availability. 

Requirements and Core Responsibilities:

    • At least 18 years of age. 
    • High School Diploma or equivalent. 
    • Experience working with children ages 0–6 preferred. 
    • Willingness to obtain a Food Handler’s Permit and CPR/First Aid Certification (we’ll cover the training!). 
    • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and actively engage in caregiving, including bending, kneeling, and play. 
    • Team player with a positive, nurturing attitude and a love for children. 
    • Must pass a background check and TB test prior to hire. 
    • Provide classroom coverage and support across multiple age groups during staff absences. 
    • Implement age-appropriate curriculum and caregiving routines. 
    • Maintain a safe, clean, and engaging classroom environment. 
    • Support daily routines like meals, diapering, toileting, naps, and transitions. 
    • Use positive guidance and redirection techniques. 
    • Communicate professionally with staff and families. 
    • Ensure the safety, supervision, and emotional well-being of every child. 
    • Support children with diverse needs, including those with IFSPs and dual language learners. 

Schedule & Pay & Benefits

    • On-call, hourly position 
    • 15.50/hour
