Requirements:

  • Pursuing Degree in Operations Management, Engineering Business Administration or a related field.

 

Job Summary:

The Operations & Engineering Intern will support initiatives aimed at improving process efficiency, workflows, and operational performance. This role provides hands-on experience in continuous improvement, data analysis, and real-world engineering practices within a fast-paced operational environment. The intern will assist in tasks such as value time studies, 3D printing, process mapping, and cross-functional collaboration with production, quality, controls and maintenance teams. This is an ideal opportunity to technically bridge the gap between engineering, Operations management, and data analytics in a real-world environment.

 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in analyzing and optimizing workflows to enhance operational & Supply Chain efficiency.
  • Collaborate with the engineering & Maintenance team to design, test, and implement process enhancements.
  • Collect and analyze data to identify areas for improvement and cost reduction.
  • Troubleshooting Machine breakdown and improving equipment performance and uptime.
  • Assist in the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
  • Support maintenance or improvement of engineering drawings, models, and documentation using AutoCAD and Fusion 360.
  • Participate in troubleshooting operational and supply chain issues.
  • Support and drive Continuous Improvement projects to enhance productivity, quality, and cost-efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in all assigned tasks.
  • Support maintenance and reliability projects to reduce downtime and improve machine efficiency.
  • Support the design, testing, and troubleshooting of PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems under supervision.

 

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite; exposure to AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar CAD tools is an asset.
  • 3D Design and Printing with Fusion 360
  • Familiarity with programming/scripting (Python, VBA, or similar) and SQL databases is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); knowledge of AutoCAD, Fusion 360 is a plus.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Enthusiasm for learning and adapting to a fast-paced environment.

Job Details:

  • Work Hours: Onsite, Standard business hours Monday through Friday
  • Work Attire: Use good judgement, keeping in mind the nature of their work, their own safety and the safety of others, and their need to interact with the public. 
  • Pay Rate: $23.00/hr
