Job Description

Join National Dentex - a leading healthcare organization specializing in the dental industry. We offer a full spectrum of specialized products, services, and technologies to address any dental restoration need. Currently, we have 50 labs throughout the country. Our team is growing, and we are seeking to fill a number of key positions within our organization including this opportunity at NDX Perry & Young Dental Lab in Aurora, CO for a Full-Time Dental Lab Technician III (Removable).

The regular hours for this position are from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and subject to change from time to time.

    Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions of the Position:

    • Read prescriptions and specifications received from dentist.
    • Check models for defect that need correcting before fabrication begins
    • Check articulation of models for proper occlusal relationship
    • Post dam upper models
    • Set pin on articulator to establish vertical relationship
    • Double check teeth to be used for correct mold and shade
    • Place wax on baseplate and set teeth on the arch in proper alignment to achieve proper function and good aesthetics. If setting for wax try-in, soak model in water before set-up. Check occlusion to be sure correct bite relationship has been achieved
    • Wax-up dentures, partials and appliances
    • Process dentures, partials and appliances
    • Finish dentures, partials and appliances
    • Evaluate and execute plan to repair dentures, partials and appliances
    • All other duties as assigned.

     Skills and Abilities Required:

    • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
    • Excellent eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity
    • Detail oriented
    • Follow directions from Removable Manager
    • Flexible work hours during busy and slow seasons

     Minimum Education and Experience Required:

    • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
    • Must be able to sustain production
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in removable production

    Hazardous Materials or Equipment Used:

    • Small machinery
    • Hand-pieces
    • Chemicals

    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to sit for extended periods of time
    • Ability to move around to different areas of the department as workflow dictates
