Position Summary:

Discovery is looking for a talented and passionate Inventory Accounting Associate to support our Finance and Accounting departments in preparing cycle counts, maintaining appropriate inventory cost and assisting in the monthly closing process.

A Day in the Life of an Inventory Accounting Associate at Discovery Life Sciences:

• Receive product into the system.
• Build reports.
• Complete inventory counts at random.
• Perform cycle counts

Must-Have Qualifications (Education, Skills, Experience):

Must Have:

• Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in inventory accounting
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks
• Prior experience using recognized accounting software
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel and experience using Google Docs
• Must possess a willingness to learn and grow to meet the changing requirement of the business
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily receiving
• Ensure all orders have the correct labor cost
• Reconcile Inventory accounts and prepare related journal entries
• Prepare weekly cycle count selections and monitor for accuracy
• Adjust inventory as needed per cycle count results
• Prepare reports as needed for Business Unit management
• Assist with month end close for all inventory related matters.
• Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements
• Ensure compliance with all laws and regulations applicable to the Company and its operations
