Job Description

WHO WE ARE:

ELYON provides the Program Management for its Channel of Commercial Technology companies in Government that consist of Small Businesses and New Technology start-ups.

ELYON advocates for policies that can improve government services and maintain our government's competitive advantage, by bringing more technology into government programs.

ELYON advocates on behalf of our nation's innovative, new technology and small businesses looking to work with the U.S. government. We do this by aligning the voice of our small business members with advocacy for change in federal policy that will make the government market more accessible to small businesses and the commercial technology ecosystem.

The Channel's founding Technical Board Members include former government leaders and IT executives passionate about bringing best-of-breed technology to the government.

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Information Assurance Support to join our team!

Responsibilities:

  • Support with implementing Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG)
  • Conducting routine scans using the Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) Compliance Checker (SCC) and Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS)
  • Support with installing, maintaining, upgrading, and migrating software
  • Responding to service outages
  • Performing Restart and Recovery Procedures
  • Periodically analyzing the system logs
  • Performing network and interface monitoring, management, and troubleshooting
  • Coordinating with the appropriate organizations to resolve network or related concerns
  • Supporting scheduling, verifying, and storing full system backups
  • Developing and maintaining system documentation for system operations, web server operations, backup and recovery, and system audit plans
  • Documenting all system changes as part of the Change Management process
  • On site customer support during normal business hours
  • Web application helpdesk support
  • Review and update internal supporting documents that will be required for the MCCAST assessment engine. This includes maintaining documents like the Continuity of Operation, Concept of Operations, Disaster recovery, etc.
  • Review, update and staff documents to obtain the DoD Certification and Accreditation (Risk Management Framework) approval i.e. MCEN Authority to Operate and Authority to Connect.

Qualifications:

COMPETENCIES:

  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow policies and procedures
  • Ability to communicate clearly as well as the ability to respond clearly to questions
  • Aptitude to address negative situations, and resolve them in a positive manner

Education and Certification Requirements:

  • DoD 8570 IAT II Level Certification Required (CCNA-Security, CySA, GICSP, GSEC, Security+CE, SSCP). Can start with lower level 8570 cert, but must attain within 180 days.

Background and Experience:

  • 3+ years of Information Security experience.

Required Technical Skills:

  • High-level familiarity with Vulnerability Management tools such as ACAS and SCAP
  • A Cyber Security Team player contributing to policy development, RMF package accreditation requirements
  • A strong systems security mindset
  • Very detail-oriented with strong communication skills

Position is contingent upon award.
