Restaurant Busser/Food Runner

To assist servers in any way possible to ensure proper, prompt and courteous service to all guests. It is through your abilities and service skills that the customer develops a sense of loyalty to return to the restaurant, they are ensured a clean, safe and sanitary environment. Must possess a valid unexpired California Food Handlers & RBS Certificate. This position pays $16.50/hour

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Station set-up
• Provide the highest quality of service to the guest.
• Ensure the restaurant is clean and sanitary.
• Employee training guideline adherence.
• Sign and update duties before leaving.
• Maintain two-way communications.
• Follow through on projects for supervisors and team members.
• Set up ashtrays with logo matches on each table.
• Ensure furniture and floors are clean and arranged according to specifications.
• Assist servers during meal period.
• Ability to carry trays of plated food items with one hand.
• Ability to commit to memory seat positions and table numbers.
• Must have knowledge of all food items on the menu
• Opening and closing side work completion
• Opening & closing guideline awareness.
• No unauthorized use of keys, security cards, security codes.
• Value & respect company property.
• Sanitation guideline adherence.
• Daily side work in place and in use. Adherence to cleaning program.
• Preventative maintenance.
• Complete everything from side work list.
• Setting and re-setting dinning room properly
• Restrooms are clean, stocked and maintained throughout the shift.
• Floors are swept and mopped.
• Greet and Thank customers with SMILE
• Answer all general questions about restaurant.
• Represent RED  in the best possible light to the best of your ability.
• All closing procedures completed without exception.
• Provide helping hand to any and all servers without hesitation. 
• All other duties as reasonably assigned by management

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous customer service experience preferred
• Professional appearance & attitude
• Excellent communication skills
• Able to work varied shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays
• Food Handlers and RBS Certification required 
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Basic mathematical skills
• Have good knowledge of computer systems
