Job Description

System/Senior Food Service Director

Lead with Purpose. Drive Culinary Excellence Across a Regional Network.

We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and hands-on System Food Service Director to oversee food and nutrition operations across multiple sites. This leadership role is ideal for a forward-thinking hospitality professional with a passion for operational excellence, team development, and delivering exceptional dining experiences.

Wage Range: $110,000 - $125,000 annually

Your Role and Impact

As the System Food Service Director, you will provide strategic oversight and support for a group of locations, ensuring consistency in service, quality, compliance, and financial performance. You will coach and lead on-site Food Service Managers and culinary teams, foster innovation, and act as the key liaison between corporate leadership and site-level operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and direction to Food Service Managers and culinary teams at multiple facilities.
  • Standardize systems and processes to ensure consistent food quality, service, and compliance across locations.
  • Monitor financial performance, identify efficiencies, and manage budgets, labor, and food costs.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing development of site-level managers and staff.
  • Partner with Registered Dietitians, nursing, and administrative teams to meet resident/patient satisfaction and dietary needs.
  • Conduct routine site visits to provide guidance, training, and operational assessments.
  • Lead and support rollouts of corporate programs, menu innovations, and quality initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP, CMS, OSHA).
  • Foster a culture of service excellence, collaboration, and professional development.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts, Nutrition, Hospitality Management, or related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive food service leadership experience, including multi-site oversight.
  • Proven track record in healthcare, senior living, or large-scale hospitality environments.
  • Strong knowledge of dietary guidelines, regulatory compliance, and sanitation standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
  • Financial acumen with experience managing multi-site budgets and labor metrics.
  • ServSafe® Certification (required or ability to obtain) and a state Food Handlers Card.
  • Willingness to travel regularly between assigned sites.

  • Work indoors 80%; outdoors 20%
  • A hazard includes, but are not limited to, cuts from broken glass, knifes, production equipment and metal cans, burns, slipping and tripping.
  • Frequent washing of hands.
