Job Description
As a Staff Process Engineer, General Assembly, you will be responsible for taking the lead role in designing new General Assembly processes for industrial launches and new product launches at Lucid. The position will lead Cross-Functional teams with Logistics, Manufacturing Operations, Manufacturing Engineers, Product Engineering, New Product Introduction and others to ensure the General Assembly process is properly designed and implemented.
You will:
- Demonstrate the ability to lead technical efforts of teams engaged in complex new process development
- Develop an assembly plan for the launch of new products and new processes and execute
- Develop and generate General Assembly PFMEA and Control Plans for all process steps
- Co-ordinate launch activities with both Plant and Vehicle engineering
- Help Achieve defined volume, worker density, costs, and safety objectives
- Identify, trial, and implement new tooling, equipment and processes that can improve manpower efficiency and quality
- Effectively manage Bill of Process and Factory Resources in 3DX DELMIA
- Maintain and execute MODAPTS time studies through ProPlanner
- Develop training programs for production associates
- Along with Logistics develop lineside layouts and maintain PFEP for delivery of parts and presentation to the operators
- Experience working with the following equipment: Robotics EOAT, Pick and Place Lift assists and automation, adhesive dispensation, vision systems and metrology
- Assign Torque tooling and help execute complete tooling strategy for area of ownership
- Generate detailed work instructions in Proplanner for all operators and stations
You bring:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, STEM or related field, or equivalent relevant education and experience
- 8+ years of related experience developing and launching complex assembly processes
- Extensive proficiency creating written and pictorial documentation of manufacturing processes
- Work well under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines
- Remain engaged, pro-active, and positive in tough circumstances, owning assignments and taking full accountability for their success
- Ability to influence outcomes and drive initiatives in complex environments
- Maintain flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and assignments, coping with rapidly changing information
- Collect, analyze, and summarize information to a general understanding, thinking abstractly and separating complex ideas into simple elements
- Being creative and provide innovation idea to improve process/technology in the past projects is a plus
- Communicate clearly using written and verbal skills
- Well organized with meticulous attention to detail
- Willingness to travel up to 40% (US and International)
- Mastery of Excel and PowerPoint and Proficiency with CATIA, 3DX experience
