Job descriptionDescriptionWe are seeking a compassionate and skilled caregiver for a 3-year-old female patient requiring G-tube Chicago, IL 60608. RN up to $43/LPN up to $33Priority Shifts is Sunday and Monday, 8am-6pm. - very easy case and great family!Company OverviewNiklife Home Care Inc. is dedicated to providing exceptional skilled nursing care and support for children with medical complexities. Our team of licensed professionals and home care aides work under the supervision of Registered Nurses to ensure that every client receives personalized care tailored to their unique needs.Responsibilities
- Provide attentive and compassionate personal care to the patient, including assistance with daily living activities.
- Administer medications and manage G-tube feeding as per the physician's plan of care.
- Monitor the patient’s vital signs and overall health status, reporting any changes to the supervising nurse.
- Ensure proper maintenance of tracheostomy care, including suctioning as needed.
- Assist with mobility and physical therapy exercises as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for the patient, adhering to infection control protocols.
- Document all care provided accurately in accordance with agency policies and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with family members regarding the patient's needs and progress.
- Prior experience in pediatric nursing or caregiving is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of G-tube and tracheostomy care is highly desirable.
- Compassionate attitude towards patients with medical complexities.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Ability to work independently while following established care plans.
- Willingness to undergo training as necessary to meet specific patient needs.
