Job Description
Job Title: Intern-Donated Goods, Retail
Locations: Airport Freeway
Salary:â¯â¯Based on experience
Work Hours: FT (30 – 40 hours per week) M-F, summer internship
General Job Duties: Provide administrative support (typing, copying, faxing, printing, scanning, shredding, creating documents & labels, record keeping, filing, organizing, data entry, developing/delivering handouts) to members of the Donated Goods and Retail Department, as well as prepare and maintain office supplies for the department. Maintain all logs with special emphasis on the gathering of relevant data and accuracy for audits. Creating marketing profiles for every retail store which includes partnering with the Community Engagement Department to select photos from their marketing database with final approval received from VP, Donated Goods & Retail. Improve existing forms used by the department, such as communication logs and developmental meeting forms, to improve efficiency and make them more streamlined. Assist Retail Support Specialist with Good Pop orders, maintain and monitor inventory levels. Assist with team-building activities for the department for store managers to have on rotation for their staff. Other duties as assigned.
Skills/Qualifications:⯠Currently completing a Bachelor’s degree in Communication, Marketing or related field with coursework or experience in building and improving forms to enhance efficiency and data collection. Must possess excellent customer service, self-motivated, and be able to work with individuals who possess disabilities, disadvantages and other barriers. Reliable with strong attention to timeliness. Excellent written and oral communication skills (both interpersonal and with supervisors). Possess great attention to detail and organization. Be able to work independently in a fast-paced office. Proficient in Microsoft Applications and Internet.
Physical Requirements:â¯â¯â¯Inside office primarily but must have reliable transportation for off-site activities. Mobile with ability to sit for long periods of time, lift 10-15 lbs. on occasion.
Legal Requirements:â¯â¯â¯ Documentation to satisfy I-9 requirements and ability to pass drug screen and background check.
