Position Overview:

Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT) to help patients regain independence and improve their quality of life through tailored therapeutic interventions. This role involves assessing patients’ abilities, creating individualized treatment plans, and collaborating with healthcare teams across diverse healthcare facilities located in Albuquerque, Las Vegas, Roswell, Truth or Consequences, Santa Clara, and Los Lunas, New Mexico.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Licensure/Certifications:
    • Current state licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
    • NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification.
  • Experience: Prior experience in rehabilitation or home health settings is a plus.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in adaptive equipment training and therapeutic interventions.
    • Knowledge of physical/psychosocial health conditions and treatment strategies.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong problem-solving, communication, and empathy skills.
    • Physical stamina to assist patients with mobility and exercises.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patients’ functional abilities and limitations in daily tasks.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to enhance motor skills, coordination, and cognitive function.
  • Train patients in using adaptive equipment (e.g., wheelchairs, splints) and assistive technologies.
  • Educate patients and families on home safety modifications and accessibility.
  • Document progress and adjust treatment plans based on patient needs.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and therapists to ensure holistic care.
