Job Description
ADULT SWING HOSPITALIST
Location:Deaconess Hospital (Gateway, Midtown, Henderson)
There are a total of 53+ employed Hospitalists in the group
Program was started approximately 23 years ago
Shifts are 12 hours in length
Shift available (1p - 1a) and (11a-11p) for admissions.
156 shifts/year (full-time), 13 shifts per month, with flexible scheduling
Average#### of admissions:
Midtown: 8-12 patients each, plus cross-coverage/codes after 8pm
Gateway: 10-12 patients each, plus cross-coverage/codes after 8pm
Henderson: 4-10 patients each, plus cross-coverage/codes after 7pm
Two Nocturnists per night at Midtown and Gateway; 8p-8a
One Nocturnists per night at Henderson; 7p-7a
Referral base includes ED visits, direct admissions, and regional transfers
