Military & Law Enforcement Sales Manager

Typical Base Salary Range of $75,000 to $110,000 (DOE)

 

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Military & Law Enforcement Sales Manager to drive the growth of our product line within the United States. This individual will be responsible for identifying, developing, and maintaining strong relationships with U.S. military and law enforcement personnel, while managing the full sales cycle—from initial engagement to order fulfillment.

The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of military and law enforcement procurement processes, with the ability to align our product solutions with end-user requirements. This role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in defense or government sales, and a strong knowledge of small arms and related accessories.

 

For over 100 years, we’ve manufactured high-quality products right here in the USA. We still operate out of our Oregon-based factory to this day, producing innovative, battle-proven optics for the world's most relentless hunters, shooters, law enforcement officers, and military personnel. What You’ll Be Doing as a Military & Law Enforcement Sales Manager:

  • Supports and coordinates military sales program activity. Builds contacts and relationships with law enforcement, government, and military accounts.
  • Writes proposals and other documents for official government projects.
  • Plans and coordinates the Company’s participation in military and government related trade shows, product demonstrations, and training activities.
  • Meets quarterly and yearly revenue goals through new and existing customers.
  • Touches multiple accounts and end users per week with meaningful activity (emails, calls, meetings, etc.).
  • Be the product expert for the tactical product line with the ability to train and educate end users in both formal and informal settings.
  • Acts as a liaison with military/law enforcement customers to address administrative and technical matters before and after product delivery.
  • Coordinates cross-functionally on all aspects of military order management. Monitors production and order activity to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Acts as a liaison between engineering and the end user, assisting in the development of unique product solutions.
  • Inputs and tracks sales related data. Develop and runs reports, audits data, prepares analyses, and summarizes results.

Skills and Experience You’ll Need as a Military & Law Enforcement Sales Manager:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field and a minimum of three (3) years of experience in a role relating to government procurement or law enforcement sales. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Thorough knowledge of shooting sports, optical products, and firearms applications.
  • Military or law enforcement experience a strong plus.
  • Ability to act as a subject matter expert on products, sales programs, and promotions.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems. Commitment to achieving exceptional customer service levels.
  • Great organizational skills with the ability multi-task.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently.
  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong computer user skills including experience with Microsoft suite of products, (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.).

Work Environment for a Military & Law Enforcement Sales Manager:

Work takes place in a standard office environment, with occasional exposure to a manufacturing environment. Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 60 pounds.Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, and bending throughout a normal workday, and extensively at tradeshows, customer meetings, demos, etc.Ability to travel frequently in the United States and internationally on rare occasion. Travel estimated to be approximately 40% of the year.
