Payroll Clerk

Under the direction of the Payroll Manager, the Payroll Clerk will be a part of the Human Resources Team and responsible for a variety of duties vital to ensuring accuracy of payments and records, as well as fielding general payroll related questions for U-Haul U.S. and Canadian Team members.

Essential Duties:

  • Prepare and process adjustments and corrections to ensure accurate Team member records

  • Communication with team members regarding payroll questions

  • Tracking communication through ticketing system

  • Maintain knowledge of employment laws to ensure compliance

  • Processing additional payments as needed

  • Audit internal payroll functions

Requirements:

  • Team player with a positive, calm, helpful, service-oriented attitude

  • Extreme attention to detail

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Ability to multitask and work independently in a time-sensitive environment

  • Strong computer skills, Excel knowledge a plus

  • Basic understanding of payroll & payroll tax situations

  • Previous experience with an automated payroll system, Workday preferred
