OPEN POSITION:
Neonatal Nurse Practitioner
SCHEDULE:
- Full-Time
- 7 Shifts per Month
- 24-Hour Shifts
- Flexible Options Available
COMPENSATION:
- $135,000 to $150,000+ Starting Salary, negotiable based on experience

LOCATION:
Las Cruces, New Mexico
COMPANY PROFILE:
This organization is a physician-owned medical practice specializing in the care of expectant mothers and newborns. They were founded in 2016 by a small group of neonatologists serving a single hospital’s NICU. Since then, they have grown to operate in multiple states with more than 100 board certified neonatologists, OB hospitalists, and pediatric specialists on their team. They combine a national infrastructure with local support, using their breadth and depth of clinical and operational resources to allow physicians to focus their time on delivering care.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This position is employed by a private group, with the role based in a medical center in Las Cruces.
The hospital is a Level 3 Trauma Center, equipped with the latest technology and resources to provide top-tier care. They have a Level 3 NICU with 15 licensed beds and do an average of 90 to 110 deliveries per month.
The schedule is coordinated collaboratively among all the providers, with the option to bundle shifts if preferred.
Specific duties of the role include, but are not limited to:
- delivery attendance
- day-to-day management of NICU
- participate in multi-disciplinary rounds
- provide collaborative, team-based care of NICU patients
- ventilator management
- nutrition management
- lab review
- meeting with families
- newborn nursery coverage
The hospital uses an EHR and clinical assistants are available to assist providers in all situations.
REQUIREMENTS:
- New Mexico NP license
- neonatal nurse practitioner certification (NNP)
- 1+ year advanced practice experience
- hospitalist experience preferred
