Job Description
National Medical Staffing Solutions is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our caring team. As a CNA, you will provide essential support to our nursing staff and directly assist patients with their daily living activities, promoting both their comfort and dignity. Your role will involve helping patients with personal hygiene, mobility, feeding, and other activities of daily living. You will also monitor patients' conditions by taking vital signs and reporting any changes to the healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding.
- Monitor and report patients’ vital signs and changes in condition to nursing staff.
- Help patients with mobility, including transferring them in and out of beds, wheelchairs, and other equipment.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients to enhance their overall well-being.
- Document care provided and keep accurate records.
- Collaborate effectively with nurses and other healthcare team members to enhance patient care.
Requirements
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of practice.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification may be required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Empathetic and caring demeanor with a desire to assist patients.
- Able to lift and move patients safely as needed.
