Job Description
What You’ll Get To Do
The Customer Service Representative is focused on processing orders, providing/resolving product and service matters, and reports to the Sales Manager.
This role is perfect for an individual who is a good communicator, committed, detail oriented. A vital member of the Customer Service Department, this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.
Job responsibilities include:
- Maintain broad knowledge of clients, products and services of the organization. Answer telephone and direct callers to appropriate department.
- Accurately process phone, fax and email quotes/orders by data entry. Enter and track orders in our AS400 system.
- Communicate with customers to determine expected delivery date and time.
- Resolve product or service problems by clarifying customer’s complaint; determining the cause of the problem; selecting and explaining the best solution to solve the problem; expediting correction or adjustments; following up to ensure resolution.
- Help co-workers when needed.
What We Are Looking For
- A minimum of 1-year customer service experience; previous customer service experience in glass industry preferred
- Strong organizational and listening skills as well as good problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and prioritize work deadlines
- Ability to work in a fast paced, team environment to meet required deadlines, and ability to work overtime as required
- Computer experience, ability to accurately type numbers
- Ability to read, interpret, and understand drawings and specifications. Must be able to read and perform mathematical calculations, and write measurements in number fractions at a high school level
