Academic Program Specialist, Department of Nursing
Job Description
This position is responsible for managing clinical site contracts and clinical clearance for nursing students. This position oversees the scheduling of prospective students visiting the department. This position manages the department's social media accounts and supervises student workers and assists with data collection for students and course outcomes as directed by the department chair.
Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or GED equivalency and three years of office experience or two years of post-secondary education.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or four years of experience in lieu of degree
- Three plus years working in an office setting
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft products including, Word and Excel
Responsibilities
- Respond to phone calls, emails, and greet visitors, providing information about our nursing programs.
- Coordinate clinical placement activities, including communication with students, clinical sites, and preceptors.
- Manage the collection and analysis of student and course outcome data for departmental, state, and national reporting.
- Manage student worker schedules and task delegation
- Oversee department contracts and collaborate with the legal department when revisions are requested.
- Assist with managing and maintaining social media accounts.
Salary: $16.23 per hour
