Job Description

Responsibility Summary: 
To manage the operations of the service department. This includes overseeing the daily scheduling & dispatching duties, as well as maximizing the efficiencies of the service technicians.  Other duties include customer relations, setting department goals, technical support, coaching technicians to help them hit their KPI's, reviewing technician performance. Responsible for making sure that all service techs are properly trained to provide a level of customer service that meets company standards and results in a profitable service department. In essence, the Service Manager is expected to handle all aspects of the service department to ensure its continued profitability and growth.
 
PREFERRED EDUCATION & TRAINING
Minimum of 2 years of HVAC trade school or related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
 
Certifications:
EPA, HVAC Excellence, NATE, OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
 
WORK EXPERIENCE
5+ years in Commercial HVAC
 

SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Strong and in-depth knowledge and understanding of HVAC and refrigeration systems
  • Ability to motivate, manage, and train a team of HVAC technicians
  • Ability to create strategy and goals for team productivity and quality of work
  • Ability to read, interpret, utilize, and train on manuals, schematics and control circuits related to HVAC and refrigeration systems
  • Knowledge of state and local codes
  • Outstanding customer service and sales skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient with computers, phones, and other office equipment
  • Ability to multi-task and juggle multiple priorities
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and organization skills
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude while under pressure
 

This is a full-time position that is available for immediate hire. An attractive compensation package will be developed for the successful candidate that will include a base salary, performance bonus and comprehensive benefits based upon the value added to the team. 
Compensation: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
