Job Description
Teach Interior Design courses as needed during the academic year, specifically Interior Design I (Fall) and Interior Design II (Spring).
Education:
A terminal degree in Interior Design or a related field is required.
Experience:
Teaching experience at the university level as well as professional experience in the interior design industry are strongly preferred.
Qualifications:
Candidates should have hands-on experience with learning management systems such as Blackboard or Canvas, familiarity with interior design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit), and be comfortable with technology in the classroom. Strong communication skills are essential, along with reliability, self-motivation, and a collaborative attitude.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop and adjust curriculum for assigned courses as needed
Create and evaluate assignments in a timely manner, providing constructive feedback
Attend faculty orientations and trainings as required
Support departmental initiatives and perform additional tasks as assigned by the Department Chair
