What's the position?
Genova Technologies has an immediate opening for a long-term project with one of our clients in the federal government sector.
The work for this position will primarily be performed on-site in Crystal City, VA. The candidate will work within an established aerospace embedded software environment to research, develop, and design the system software. Your responsibilities will include:
- Acting as a software expert in an integrated team of hardware, systems, and electrical engineers
- Facilitating cooperation between government and contracting teams
- Supporting software update cycles.
This position requires an active Secret clearance.
What are we looking for?
We're currently seeking people that want to build their skills and work alongside a team of like-minded individuals. The ideal candidate will have:
- An active clearance of Secret or above
- A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar technical field
- 5+ years of experience in an engineering or technical position
- 3+ years of experience in engineering design or requirements development
- The ability to travel to Crystal City, VA to perform work on-site.
Additional skills we consider a plus include:
- Certifications (or the ability to obtain certifications) for DAWIA I or II in Engineering, Program Management, or similar fields
- Familiarity with DoD documentation and contracting requirements
- Proven ability to adapt to ambiguous/changing software requirements.
