What's the position?

Genova Technologies has an immediate opening for a long-term project with one of our clients in the federal government sector.

The work for this position will primarily be performed on-site in Crystal City, VA. The candidate will work within an established aerospace embedded software environment to research, develop, and design the system software. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as a software expert in an integrated team of hardware, systems, and electrical engineers
  • Facilitating cooperation between government and contracting teams
  • Supporting software update cycles.

This position requires an active Secret clearance.

What are we looking for?

We're currently seeking people that want to build their skills and work alongside a team of like-minded individuals. The ideal candidate will have:

  • An active clearance of Secret or above
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar technical field
  • 5+ years of experience in an engineering or technical position
  • 3+ years of experience in engineering design or requirements development
  • The ability to travel to Crystal City, VA to perform work on-site.

Additional skills we consider a plus include:

  • Certifications (or the ability to obtain certifications) for DAWIA I or II in Engineering, Program Management, or similar fields
  • Familiarity with DoD documentation and contracting requirements
  • Proven ability to adapt to ambiguous/changing software requirements.
