Job Description
Summary of Position
In a warehouse environment, the Returns Clerk will be responsible for the processing of unsold papers that are returned by our single copy dealers. In addition, the Returns Clerk will properly dispose of those papers, including the contents which may include manufacturer coupons. Returns processing will include manually scanning the UPC on each paper and some manual data entry when the physical returns are not available. The Returns Clerk will also prepare the weekly collection envelopes that contain the current invoice, late notices and affidavits.
Essential Duties & Functions
• Using a hand-held barcode scanning device, scan all single copy dealer returns envelopes; remove any returns from envelopes and scan returns
• Ensure scans are accurate and correct any errors are corrected
• Safeguard all manufacturer coupons
• Label dealer collection envelopes and insert corresponding dealer invoice and affidavit.
• Collate advertising invoices and supporting documentation for internal and external distribution into mailing envelopes
Essential Job Knowledge & Skills
• HS Diploma or GED required. Some previous document imaging or data entry experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills including keyboarding and email.
• Extremely detail oriented with the ability to focus on repetitive tasks for long periods of time.
• Ability to meet aggressive deadlines.
Compensation
• The hourly base rate range for this role is $16.60.
Physical Requirements
• Must have the ability to lift up to 50lbs when required throughout the shift. The nature of the position requires constant standing, bending, stretching, and stooping, reaching and twisting as well as excellent manual dexterity in both hands.
