Position Summary:

Performs and/or assists the Manager, Facilities with the maintenance, repair, replacement, adjustments and modification of the facility, equipment and the outside grounds according to a set schedule and in emergency and non- emergency situations while observing all safety regulations and ensuring all quality standards are met while maintaining the efficient flow of product through the production process. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duties assigned to best serve the company.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Review work schedule, perform safety check on equipment, obtain supplies required to perform the work and prepare for operations.
  • Perform building and grounds maintenance and general upkeep duties as needed.
  • Assist Facilities Manager and other personnel with installations, modifications, adjustments and replacements of tools equipment and any other maintenance projects as assigned.
  • Maintain warehouse, operate power equipment to sweep, wash warehouse floors, aisles, clean-up spills, remove trash and debris as needed.
  • Perform scheduled custodial duties, paint, scrape, power wash and other projects as assigned.
  • Perform light maintenance (e.g., change light bulbs, unstop toilets, clean carpets, building updated, such as painting and general upgrades, putting furniture together, duct work, set-up conference rooms, etc) as needed.
  • Assist warehouse personnel, outside contractors and maintenance personnel on special maintenance projects as directed.
  • At end of shift, secure all equipment, perform general housekeeping duties and complete all required paperwork.
  • Willingness to become certified and familiar with ammonia refrigeration system functions, safety protocols and continuing education as necessary
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience

6 - 12 months building maintenance experience in warehouse and / or production environment

Preferred Qualifications

1 - 2 years building maintenance experience in warehouse and / or production environment
