Adams Street Partners is seeking a Senior Associate, Fund Accountant to join the Client Operations team. Our Fund Accountants gain a broad range of investment accounting exposure by providing accounting support for the Firm's investment activities.

Specifically, this individual is responsible for various functions within the investment accounting group including:

  • Preparation of annual audit reports and quarterly financial statements and capital accounts
  • Review of quarterly financial statements from partnership investments and other investment information to determine valuations of investments pursuant to ASC 820. This process includes tracking of underlying portfolio company activity and requires interaction with contacts at the various investment managers
  • Interaction with various members of the investment and client service teams to obtain information and provide necessary reports
  • Participation in cash reconciliation process
  • Completion of client requests and special projects as they arise

We seek an individual who is self-disciplined, demonstrates creative thinking and has the following characteristics:

  • Undergraduate degree in accounting is required
  • 2-5 years of accounting experience working at a public accounting firm, private equity manager or a fund accounting administrator.
  • CPA preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word as well as Adobe Acrobat. Work with database systems and proficiency in data management preferred.
  • Self-starter who can work with minimal supervision within a team environment
