Job Description
Essential Job Functions - This may be a part-time or full-time position with 100% of the hours shared between an independent Pharmacy and Haven Distributor with as needed support hours for OBA.
Essential Job Functions
- Provide accurate accounting for drug and supply orders for retail and distributor processes
- Process and prepare all prescriptions, labels, mailing envelopes and other processes to provide completed prescription to pharmacist on duty for final check
- Process end of day reports for pharmacist signature
- Maintain processing of all electronic, phone requests and emails
- Enter all new insurances into system utilities using the correct method to provide appropriate payment
- Assist in monitoring all PBM and manufacturer pricing
- Enter new drugs into current software program with appropriate price plans and costs
- Assist with maintaining inventory in the distributorship
- Process all elements required for shipments in and out of Distributorship
- Utilize the Distributorship to maintain viability of all documents
- Maintain Office Based Anesthesia (OBA) inventory and cabinet inventory upon OBA PIC request
- Develop reports for pharmacy operations
- Maintain any purchasing, inventory or other reports required by OBA
- Provide written pharmacy education to patients, providers and others as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy, office bases, and distributorship storage areas
- Maintain optimal inventory for the pharmacy and distributorship by managing all par levels

- Participate in committees and work groups as requested to represent Pharmacy Services
- Provide additional support for pharmacists as needed
Competencies
- Must hold a current Pharmacy Technician Certification for the State of Michigan
- Experience with current pharmacy software
- Provide excellent customer service
- Must display a high level of understanding and patience when dealing/working with patients

Physical Demands
- Work requires hand dexterity for office machine operation including but not limited to: computer, telephone, copy machine, facsimile and printers
- Walking, sitting, standing, stooping, and bending are common
- Must be physically able to life up to 20 pounds
