Job Description:

Title: Account Manager Lead - Commercial Lines 

Remote: Florida Residents Only | Based out of Longwood, FL | Book Focus: Agriculture

Please note: If this position is posted as either fully remote and/or hybrid, in accordance with company policy, individuals residing within a 50-mile radius of a branch location may be required to work onsite in a hybrid capacity. About the Role:Work with Account Executive (AE) or Producer to manage an assigned book of business, increase account retention, and support new business. Ensure compliance with industry and company guidelines, meeting all performance requirements regarding production and quality. Coordinate and execute day-to-day administrative and customer service activities for assigned accounts, resolving complex issues. Additionally, direct daily activities, workflow, team communication, support, training, and development under Operations Leadership, ensuring no liability associated with errors and omissions occurs. 

 
Key Responsibilities: 

  • Technical Competence: Maintain high technical competence and industry expertise. 

  • Discretion and Judgment: Ensure beneficial outcomes using discretion and judgment. 

  • Team Leadership: Direct daily activities and workflow of the team. 

  • Performance Monitoring: Assist in monitoring team performance and recommend corrective actions. 

  • Training and Development: Provide training, mentoring, and professional development. 

  • Team Meetings: Schedule and facilitate brief team meetings. 

  • Performance Evaluation: Provide feedback for team member evaluations. 

  • Policy Implementation: Implement and enforce company policies and procedures. 

  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with core work processes and best practices. 

  • Employee Selection: Participate in interviewing and hiring recommendations. 

  • Customer Service and Account Management: Manage various customer service and account management tasks. 

  • Policy Management: Manage policy expirations and renewals. 

  • Renewal Process: Manage policy renewal process with AM, AE, and/or Producer. 

  • Accounts Receivable: Monitor and act on delinquent accounts. 

  • System Maintenance: Maintain data accuracy in agency management systems. 

  • Activity Monitoring: Ensure timely completion of activities. 

  • Communication: Maintain transparent communication with the account team. 

  • Service Excellence: Deliver excellent service, anticipate needs, and respond quickly. 

 

Ideal Candidate Qualifications: 

  • 3+ years of account management experience, or 5+ years in the insurance industry 

  • Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs 

  • Required active licensing; professional designation (CIC or equivalent) preferred 

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills 

  • Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills 

  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) 

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent)
