The Senior Engineering Manager for Web Systems (Recommender Journey) is responsible for the work of a newly created team which will own the comprehensive web experience for users of Tobii Dynavox products. It will be used by professionals as well as people in informal care circles who work to serve users of our solutions. The Senior Engineering Manager for Web Systems (Recommender Journey) will lead this team to define, architect, implement and maintain this ecosystem, thus ensuring its long-term contribution to our product offerings.

In this role, you will

• Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of highly competent software engineers.

• Lead the definition of the architecture which supports the overarching web experience with respect to the individual products and services.

• Oversee the design, development, and deployment of the web experience using React and other front-end technologies, but with a C#/.NET back end.

• Establish and maintain high quality design and development processes.

• Maintain high reliability and availability of the products.

• Collaborate with peers in the engineering department to ensure the architectural integrity of the entire portfolio.

• Drive continuous improvements in development processes, tools, and methodologies.

What we're looking for

• Minimum of five years development experience.

• Minimum of four years management experience.

• Significant experience in C#/.NET

• Significant experience in Web development

• Expert in Agile/Scrum

• Able to contribute to architectural discussions/decisions

• Demonstrated experience with and sensitivity to UX design concerns.

• Strong leadership experience and excellent communication skills

• Proficient in providing and receiving feedback in a supportive manner.
