Risk Analyst

We are looking for a Risk Analyst. You will participate in key risk management activities such as assessing global foreign currency (FX) exposures, executing FX hedge transactions, and reporting outcomes. 

What You’ll Do:

• Support design and implementation FX hedging programs.
• Identify FX risks and assess potential financial impacts associated with forecasted P&L and/or balance sheet exposures.
• Ensure FX exposures are accurately forecasted using historical data, understanding of business seasonality, and working with various internal stakeholders.
• Perform FX trading and support execution of other internal transactions.
• Ensure timely recording of all transaction details into the risk management system.
• Support accounting for hedging / derivatives activities.
• Support preparation of quarterly financial reports, reconciliations, controls, and disclosures related to hedging activities.
• Assist in preparation of FX performance reports and other presentation materials for C-level review.
• Develop internal FX rate forecasts for use in planning processes.
• Analyze and explain changes in the hedge portfolio, including quarter-end balance sheet flux.
• Lead interactions with controllership and back-office teams to ensure hedging instruments are appropriately setup and valued on an ongoing basis.
• Support improved forecasting of hedge related P&L, balance sheet and cash flow estimates.
• Support periodic assessments of risk metrics such as Value at-Risk (“VaR”) of portfolios and back-testing of hedge programs.
• Develop a good working knowledge of FX market conditions and drivers.
• Perform ad-hoc quantitative analyses and other responsibilities as needed. 

What Skills You Need:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; MBA or other advanced technical degree is a plus.
• Prior experience with Treasury / derivative transactions and valuation is a plus.
• Experience in accounting or Business Finance required.
• Strong interpersonal, presentation, organizational, analytical, project management, and communication skills.
• Strong systems and Excel capabilities including familiarity with SAP S4/CFIN; Bloomberg is a plus.
• Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and process focused.
• Conscientious and diligent in work.
• Effective cross-team communicator and collaborator.
• Ability to independently troubleshoot/handle complex issues with minimal supervision.
