Job Description
Graco manufactures and markets premium equipment to move, measure, control, dispense and spray a wide variety of fluid and powder materials. What does that mean? The Manager, Demand Planning is responsible for overseeing and optimizing Graco's demand planning process across functions, divisions and regions. The individual in this position will drive improvement in statistical forecasting processes and outcomes including the identification, implementation and management of appropriate technology, software and models, incorporating relevant industry benchmarks and macroeconomic data and trends. Additionally, this position works collaboratively across Graco, including building strong partnerships with Product Management, Marketing, Sales, Design, Supply Chain, Operations, Finance as well as business leaders to optimize and improve Sales & Operations plans to deliver financial goals and growth of the business.
What You Will Do at Graco
Operational Planning & Collaboration
- Establish and manage the Executive Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) cycle across Graco, including providing ongoing updates to appropriate leadership
- Collaborate with Executive and Senior Leadership from Sales & Marketing, Finance, Product Planning, and Design to co-develop demand plans for respective divisions, regions and/or product lines, incorporating strategies, plans, risks, opportunities, market shifts, product shifts, and financial resources
- Collaborate with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Sales teams to align demand forecasts with inventory levels and production schedules.
Demand Planning Execution
- Establish and deliver a Graco-wide process to maintain one global supply, demand, inventory and financial plan
- Develop and implement global demand planning strategies to support business goals in partnership with the business
- Collaborate with Supply Chain, Sourcing and Manufacturing leadership to identify options and close gaps between demand and supply plans, including escalation management
- Collaborate with IT to identify and improve appropriate technologies to improve demand planning process performance
Forecasting & Analysis
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance forecasting accuracy and efficiency.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to demand fluctuations and supply chain disruptions.
- Utilize advanced demand planning tools and software to support decision-making processes.
- Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and customer insights to create accurate demand forecasts.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to demand planning
Team Leadership & Financial Management
- Lead, mentor, manage and hire a Global Demand Planning COE team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and promoting a culture of excellence.
- Coordinate with regional planners to ensure consistency and accuracy in supply plans
- Drive team performance by setting clear goals, providing ongoing feedback, and facilitating professional growth opportunities.
- Establish, manage, and be accountable for the annual Global Demand Planning budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources and alignment with organizational strategic objectives.
What You Will Bring to Graco:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Data Science, Mathematics, or Statistics
- 7+ years of experience working in the manufacturing industry with at least 5 years in supply, demand or financial planning
- Excellent leadership skills; 4+ years of team leadership experience preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent negotiation and collaboration skills
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in demand planning software
- Ability to work effectively in a global, cross-functional team environment.
- Proven track record of driving process improvements and achieving results
- Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends in demand planning
Accelerators:
- Experience implementing S&OP, SIOP, or IBP
- MBA or Master's degree preferred
- Oracle ERP experience preferred
- APICS certification

The base pay range for this position is listed below, exclusive of fringe benefits or other compensation. If you are hired, your final base hourly rate will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, competencies, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors, we will also consider internal equity of our current employees. Please keep in mind that the range provided is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at or near the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth.
$93,800.00 - $164,200.00
