Commercial Insurance Agent Responsibilities:
- Focus almost exclusively on the prospect identification and conversion process where you can confidently advise, close and warmly transfer the new client to a team member who is responsible for the post-sale and account maintenance, so you are free to continue your quest for new clients
- Retain existing clients through your involvement in policy renewal reviews and assisting with other servicing as needed
- The mix of time spent and revenue from new business to existing business is expected to be approximately 70/30
- Prospecting skills
- Meeting sales goals
- Motivation for sales
- Product knowledge
- Organizational and time management skills
- Attention to detail
- Strong listening and oral and written communication skills
- Ability to close sales and follow through on commitments
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proven record of successful sales experience
The candidate will be based in the Lake Elmo, MN office, with the potential for a combination of onsite and remote after a proven track record of success.
The pay rate will vary depending on a candidate’s education, level of experience and industry.
