JOB SUMMARY: Load, unloads, and safely transport materials within or near plant, yard, or work site, utilizing forklifts, truck and/or trailers. All while performing any combination of following duties: Reads work order or follow oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
- Loads materials into vehicles or trailers and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit, using hand tools required at times.
- Conveys materials to or from storage or work sites to designated area, using forklift, handtruck, electric dolly, wheelbarrow, or other device.
- · Secures lifting attachments to materials and conveys load to destination, using hand-operated crane or hoist, or signals crane or hoisting operators to move load to destination
- Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled on daily production sheet. Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, bales, or other containers. Stacks or assembles materials into bundles and bands bundles together, using banding machine and clincher.
- May occasionally operate industrial truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products.
- Must hold forklift certification or the ability to obtain it.
- Pick up or delivery material as needed to offsite locations, Vendors or Suppliers.
- Must had valid driver's license.

- Must possess sufficient interpersonal skills to effectively interact with persons inside and outside the Company. Must be able to work under stress and handle multiple priorities. Must be able to work under stress and meet deadlines. Must be able to maintain and process job-related paperwork effectively. Must be able to handle multiple priorities.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to go up and down stairs. Must be able to walk long distances. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions. Must be able to sit for average amounts of time. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Must be able to climb into machinery. Must be able to communicate effectively. Must be able to operate office equipment. Must not present a risk of injury to self or others while engaged in Company duties. Must be able to work overtime as required.
