MJH Life Sciences is looking for an HR Specialist to join our People Operations team. In this role, you'll serve as a trusted HR resource to department leaders-helping to align people practices with business priorities, support talent and performance initiatives, and drive consistency across teams. You'll support organizational change, help leaders translate strategy into action, and contribute to a high-performing and engaging employee experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with department leaders to understand their goals and team dynamics, offering HR guidance to support engagement, performance, and culture
- Support company-wide HR initiatives by helping managers interpret and implement processes such as performance reviews, compensation planning, and policy rollouts
- Reinforce talent management strategies by guiding managers on career development conversations, role clarity, and internal mobility best practices
- Share employee feedback and insights from exit interviews, manager discussions, or team observations with HR leadership and business stakeholders
- Champion change management by reinforcing communication strategies, providing context for organizational updates, and helping teams navigate transitions
- Help managers navigate and apply company policies, programs, and systems while ensuring equitable and consistent treatment across teams
- Maintain data accuracy in HRIS systems and assist with HR process execution in partnership with HR Operations
- Participate in special HR projects that contribute to organizational effectiveness, such as engagement initiatives, process improvement, or training development
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
- 2-3 years of HR experience in a generalist or specialist capacity, ideally in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Strong understanding of HR best practices including employee relations, performance management, and engagement strategies
- Proven ability to build trust with employees and managers, offering reliable guidance and support
- Strategic mindset with the ability to align daily work with big-picture goals and company values
- Familiarity with core talent management practices including performance conversations, career development, and succession planning frameworks
- Ability to influence without authority, encouraging leaders to develop and retain top talent through consistent people practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in using HRIS systems (Workday preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite
Compensation Range:
$65,000 - $75,000 per year, depending on qualifications. Eligible for annual company bonus program or commission incentive based on role. The compensation offered to the candidate selected for this position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills, and professional experience.
