Job Description
SolarWinds is undergoing a transformation toward our cloud future. This is a pivotal moment in our transformation, converting our customer base to subscription licensing of our flagship software, and acquiring new customers / cross-activating the installed base to our Observability, Service Management, and Database subscription portfolio. We are growing our team of expert technology strategists to deliver against this strategic vision, and maintain our Marketing commitment in support of this transformation.
Summary:
As a Marketing Automation Developer at SolarWinds, you will leverage your expertise in marketing automation platforms and email template design to drive the company's automation maturity. This role is central to the Marketing Automation and Technology organization and is crucial for the Automation Dev team and SolarWinds business. The ideal candidate is a marketer with a passion for marketing automation technologies, organization, and a self-starting attitude, ready to excel in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Create and optimize all aspects of programs and automation within Marketo, including developing programs and campaigns, creating smart lists/segmentations, uploading lead lists, and data clean-up.
- Support and execute the prospect and customer journey using scoring, nurture streams, lead routing, automation, and emails throughout the buyer's journey.
- Support marketers in leveraging the automation capabilities of the Mar-Tech stack and facilitate continual analysis and improvement cycles for marketing activity.
- Ensure consistent and effective use of Marketo for lead management, nurtures, and reporting, providing services around Marketo as needed.
- Learn and onboard onto other Mar-Tech Stack platforms, such as Outreach or Hushly, as needed.
- Assist with and provide insights into database optimization, including list segmentation, data cleanliness, and integrity within databases.
- Execute a strategy for growing the size and quality of the contact database to enable effective segmentation and profiling.
- Support technical stack integration, deployments, maintenance, and business rules, including marketing databases and campaign management tools.
- Support the execution of the Marketing Automation roadmap and stay abreast of industry trends.
- Establish and implement best practices for system maintenance, configuration, development testing, data integrity, etc.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- 4-5 years of hands-on B2B experience with marketing automation tools.
- Advanced/admin hands-on Marketo experience; Marketo certification is a plus.
- Innovative thinker and creative problem solver.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to collaborate, build consensus, and effectively communicate ideas.
- Ability to excel in a dynamic, fast-paced, and highly demanding environment.
