JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a reliable and efficient Material Handler to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the movement, storage, and control of materials within our facility. This role is crucial in maintaining smooth operations and ensuring materials are available when and where needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive, unload, and process incoming materials and shipments
Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment
Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
Organize and maintain the cleanliness of the warehouse or storage area
Follow all safety procedures and report any unsafe conditions
Assist in loading and unloading trucks
Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient material flow
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in warehouse or material handling preferred
- Valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Physical Demands:
- Standing, walking, and operating equipment for extended periods
- Bending, lifting, and carrying materials
- Working in various temperatures and environments (indoor/outdoor)
