Job Description

Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and collaborative Digital Marketing Specialist to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a candidate with foundational experience in digital marketing who is ready to make a measurable impact across a portfolio of multifamily properties. You'll work alongside experienced marketing professionals and gain valuable exposure to performance strategy, vendor management, and property marketing operations.

Please note we plan to start interviewing for this role in mid-August and anticipate this person starting in Q4 2025.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the onboarding and offboarding of communities within RKW's portfolio for the Digital Marketing Team, overseeing project timelines, coordinating cross-functional tasks, and ensuring smooth execution of all related initiatives.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of digital strategies that drive traffic, engagement, and lead generation for the communities RKW manages.
  • Support the Marketing Department in managing tools and platforms, such as Google Tag Manager, CRM systems, and analytics dashboards.
  • Monitor advertising budgets and work closely with internal teams and external vendors to optimize spend and maximize ROI.
  • Track key digital marketing KPIs, including conversion rates, cost-per-lead, and engagement metrics.
  • Assist in managing vendor relationships and evaluating potential new partnerships, including with the Internet Listing Services (ILS) networks and digital marketing agencies.
  • Audit and update advertising campaigns to ensure accuracy in source attribution, lead delivery, and optimization for search visibility and user experience.
  • Stay current on digital marketing trends and tactics and proactively identify opportunities for innovation and improvement within multi-channel marketing funnel.
  • Research industry best practices and emerging technologies relevant to the multifamily real estate space.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Solid understanding of digital KPIs.
  • Proficiency in tools such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Google Ads, Google Search Console, and Google Business Manager.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong attention to detail.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with the ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Must be based in or willing to relocate to Charlotte, NC. This is a hybrid role with in-office presence required 3 days per week.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Exposure to Southeastern U.S. markets (NC, SC, GA).
  • Knowledge of property management software (e.g., RealPage, Yardi) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems, CMS platforms, and Microsoft 365.

Travel:

  • Up to 25% travel may be required, depending on the location of assigned properties.

Physical Demands:

  • The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms and may need to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods.
