Job Title: Residence Life Office Assistant (RLOA)

Starting Rate of Pay: $8.00
Length of Time: Eligible for rehire on a semester basis.

Job Description
The RLOA works in the Office of Student Life under the supervision of a Graduate Resident Director. The role of the RLOA is to provide excellent customer service and ensure safety and security for students living in the residence halls.
Job Location/ Hours Required
The candidate will perform most/all job duties in Student Life area you are assigned. Hours may vary depending on the job requirements; however, the total number of hours a student employee may work per week is 20 hours.
Responsibilities:
- Work assigned shifts during the following timeframes:
- Monday – Friday: 5 – 9 pm
- Saturday: 8:30 am – 7 pm
- Sunday: 8:30 am – 9 pm
- Complete weekly key audits in Slane and in residential communities
- Order keys for communities and Slane key closet
- Submit lost keys IRs
- Maintain accurate key code list
- Assist with roommate introductions
- Assist with checking students in and providing keys
- Assist with early arrival tabling
- Assist with early arrival IR processing
- Assist with closing key checks
- Redirecting any other student needs to their RA or the CD on Duty depending on the nature of the issue
- Attend all required trainings and staff meetings
Required Qualifications:
- Enrollment as a current HPU undergraduate student in good standing at the time of application and throughout the recruitment and employment term.
- Completion of at least one semester as a full-time student at HPU by the start of appointment.
- Maintenance of full-time student status (12 credit hours) at the time of application and throughout the recruitment and employment term.
- Maintenance of a minimum 2.0 semester and cumulative GPA at the time of application and throughout the recruitment and employment term.
- Maintenance of good standing with HPU at the time of application and throughout the recruitment and employment period. Past violations of HPU Policy or the law may result in a candidate being removed from the selection process.
- Commitment to serving in the position for one complete academic year.
