Job Description

Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) – Florida

Salary Range: $55,000 – $60,000 per year

Location: Deerfield Beach, Florida

Job Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM

Position Summary:

As a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA), you’ll work under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to carry out customized treatment plans that help patients recover from injury, surgery, or chronic conditions. Your role is essential in empowering patients to regain independence, strength, and mobility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in implementing treatment plans as directed by the Physical Therapist
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust activities as needed
  • Instruct and motivate patients in exercises and therapeutic techniques
  • Record detailed and accurate patient notes
  • Maintain a safe and clean treatment environment
  • Collaborate with the therapy team to ensure holistic, effective care

Requirements

  • Current Florida PTA license (required)
  • Associate degree from a CAPTE-accredited PTA program
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work well in a team-based environment
  • Compassionate, patient-focused approach
  • Experience in outpatient, orthopedic, or geriatric settings
  • CPR certification
