Live-In Caregiver
Flexible Schedule- Live-in caregivers have minimal hour commitments
Location: Arden Hills, MN
Rate of Pay: $23.00/ hour
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Direct Support professionals (DSP's) work with individuals with disabilities to help them gain skills and more independence in areas such as communication, cooking, housekeeping, budgeting, personal safety, health, and recreation.
A Live-in Caregiver would sign a lease and move into the home and reside with the individual, working each month with an approved service (IHS w/Training) *Night Supervision Asleep is not allowed with this position. All lease arrangements are through the landlord and not Dependable. Dependable oversees employment side only.
This individual lives in an apartment complex and Live-in would have their own bedroom and other shared living spaces (kitchen, living room, bathroom) Apartment amenities include: Exercise Room, Sauna, Indoor Swimming Pool, Whirlpool, Party Room w/ big screen TV
The individual has Bardet Biedl Syndrome, Autism, OCD, history of food allergies, Pica, and Developmental Coordination Disorder (DCD)
Note, there is a camera in the living room that will remain on.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1 year of relevant work experience
- Driver's License, car insurance, reliable vehicle for work purposes
- Ability to read, write and speak English at a level that meets the performance requirements; or must be able to communicate in the language spoken by the individual at a level that meets the performance requirements; whichever is deemed more important by the company
- Ability to meet licensing requirements of the state and county
- Lifting/transferring requirements vary based on assigned caseload. Ability to lift 75 pounds and transfer individuals as needed
- May be exposed to animals, including but not limited to dogs, cats, pet rodents, birds or pet reptiles
