POSITION SUMMARY:
The Program Support Specialist supports EARN/Work Ready programming by facilitating activities for clients, providing necessary support and coverage at the various locations where program services are offered. This position will assist participants in achieving established goals. The Program Support Specialist will work with
participants in computer labs and classroom settings.
Duties will also include but are not limited to:
- Assist with the facilitation of program operations and activity coordination, including setup and implementation, orientation, etc. and support staff, participants, work activity sites, and other stakeholders to ensure program goals and objectives are met.
- Implement necessary educational, behavioral, and/or developmental supports, including any identified assistive technology, as needed to promote activity engagement and transition to employment.
- Report overall program status and progress per established guidelines and timeframes, including time and attendance, goal plans, etc. needed to achieve the participant’s and program’s established goals.
- Assist as needed with various training activities including orientation and job readiness activities from intake to exit, including completion of required documentation.
- Communicate participant progress and provide feedback in both written and oral form to the team.
External Hiring Range: $17.33 -$18.81/hr
Schedule: Monday through Friday (8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.). Some evenings and weekends may be required. Schedule can vary depending on department needs.
Travel: Local travel may be required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent AND 4 years of experience required. OR
- Associate degree AND 2 years of experience required.
Required Experience: Experience in customer service with diverse populations.
REQUIRED CLEARANCES, LICENSES, AND CERTIFICATIONS:
- Candidates are expected to provide current, valid clearances (Child Abuse Clearance, FBI Fingerprints Clearance, and PATCH).
