Job Description
Operations Generalist
About NexHealth
NexHealth's mission is to accelerate innovation in healthcare. Fixing healthcare is the challenge of our generation. This industry is stuck in the 1990s while affordability and accessibility are spiraling out of control. We currently spend ~20% of GDP on healthcare, while 25% of the world's data is stuck on legacy and antiquated health systems. NexHealth's goal is to create an open and modern ecosystem to accelerate innovation in the space. We make it easier for everybody to build in healthcare and ultimately empower ordinary people with access to more modern, efficient, and affordable healthcare solutions.

Internal Operations at NexHealth
We are seeking an Operations Generalist to support our Internal Operations team. As we scale, the internal backbone of the company - systems, people, talent, tools, and structure - needs to evolve. Our Internal Operations team ensures that the right foundations are in place so teams can move faster, hire better, and build with confidence. Our work is wide-ranging but rooted in one thing: creating high-leverage systems that enable Nexers to thrive.
You will work closely with teams across the organization and develop cross-functional relationships and skills that enable us to implement the right systems & processes to support every organization in the company. If you're detail-oriented, thrive on structure and efficiency, and want to help build the behind-the-scenes engine that powers a scaling company, we want to hear from you.
What you'll do:
People Ops: Coordinate and execute core employee lifecycle tasks, including onboarding, offboarding, and internal transitions
New Hire Onboarding: Support scheduling, checklist accuracy, and cross-functional communication. This will include assisting in pre-hire through Day 1 logistics: offer-to-onboarding communication, equipment ordering, swag coordination, and calendar setup
Facilities: Act as a liaison for office operations (ordering supplies, coordinating with building management, supporting in-person onboarding days, etc.)
Process Documentation: Partner with People Ops, Talent and cross-functional departments to document internal processes, maintain internal dashboards, and ensure accuracy across systems
Coordination: Support Internal Ops and Recruiting teams with scheduling, documentation gathering, and coordination of interviews and new hire setup
Employee Support: Triage incoming employee requests, solving the problem or escalating to the appropriate internal owner.
Work on special projects as needed - no two months will look the same.
What you'll bring:
- 1-3 years of experience in people operations, recruiting coordination, office management, or administrative operations
- Clear, concise communicator - both in writing and in person
- Highly organized and self-directed; you thrive in environments where you can bring order to chaos
- Comfortable with tools like Google Workspace, Slack, and HRIS systems (Rippling experience is a plus)
- Ownership mindset - you're the kind of person who sees a problem and just handles it. Asks the question, "if not me, then who?" and if there's not an immediate answer, then it's you.
- Excitement to learn how the operations of a scaling tech company work under the hood
- A "no job too small" mentality, and a passion for making things better every day
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- SHRM or PHR certification a plus
NexHealth Operating Principles
- Solve the customer's problems, not yours
When making decisions, think from the perspective of the customer. It's easy to make decisions that make our lives simpler, but not the customer's.
- Do the things others are not willing to do for our customers
As a Nexer, always go after the hardest problems for our customers. Pursue things at the highest quality. Move at the fastest pace.
- Take ownership
Act like a founder. Own your roles, destinies, mistakes, behavior, and our mission. The buck stops with each of us - no blaming or excuses.
- Say what's on your mind, with positive intent
Be direct, proactive, transparent, and frequent in your communication.
- Default trust
As a Nexer, you do not have to earn trust, trust is given to you by default. If we by default trust each other, our speed of communication, feedback, information sharing, and overall improvements will be a lot faster.
- Think in first principles
We first identify the problem and then break it down to its fundamentals before diving into solutions. We constantly ask "why" to validate our assumptions.
- Live in the details
As a Nexer, you should know all the details about all the things you do. If you're in the details, you will make high quality decisions.
Benefits
- Competitive salary, plus equity
- Full Medical, Dental and Vision (up to 100% covered)
- 401K and commuter benefits
- Unlimited PTO
