Intern, People and Culture – Launch Your Career with Us!

Are you a student with a passion for people, purpose, and organizational culture? WSU Tech is looking for a dynamic and motivated People & Culture (HR) Intern to join our team and make an impact on employee engagement, diversity initiatives, and recruitment strategies!

  • Compensation: $18.20 /hr (10-20 hours a week, varies)
  • Worksite Location: Varies

Overview / Job Summary:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Intern in People and Culture who is eager to learn about human resources practices and gain practical experience in a supportive environment. This internship is a fantastic opportunity for students or recent graduates to apply their academic knowledge in real-world scenarios while contributing to a positive organizational culture.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Help post jobs, screen resumes, and schedule interviews
  • Assist in onboarding, orientation, and creating welcome kits
  • Support employee engagement and culture initiatives
  • Events and recruitment outreach
  • Collaborate on special projects with the People & Culture team

This internship will equip you with valuable skills and knowledge that can propel your career in human resources and organizational development.

Requirements

Education:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Development/Leadership, or a related field.
  • Entering the second to last year of your program.
  • Able to provide proof of current enrollment.

Qualifications:

  • On qualifications: first statement A passion for learning and growing.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is a plus.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and integrity.
  • Detail-oriented with the capability to multi-task and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a willingness to contribute as a team player.
  • Availability to commit to a set number of hours per week during the internship period.
